GENERAL OVERVIEW

This immersive four-day gender inclusive retreat is for anyone 18+ and would like to connect with the deep well of resilience and well-being that is within us all. Guided by a yoga therapist and a mental health professional who specialize in stress and trauma, we bring an integrative approach to those who have hit the limit of traditional mental health strategies.

This unique retreat takes a body and breath-based approach to healing trauma and anxiety. Based on current research in neuroscience and mental health we incorporate integrative holotropic breathwork, somatic practices, and nervous system regulation tools to restore well-being to your nervous system. Intentional movement and breath are highly effective neuromodulators for nervous system regulation and this retreat is an experiential and intensive experience that will bring sustainable physiological, mental, and emotional shifts. We designed this experience to alleviate chronic stress and anxiety-related symptoms, build resilience in body and mind, and restore overall health and sense of well-being.

This program is for those who want to:

  • Rewire old emotional patterning

  • Release long-held tension in your body

  • Move through your nervous system triggers with guidance

  • Experience beneficial shifts in energetic, mental, and emotional states

  • Lighten the physical and energetic load of anxiety, trauma, and grief

  • Receive the support of a safe and sacred community

  • Integrate your experiences with new perspectives

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE

Nervous system education

Informed by the most current neuroscience and somatic psychology, we will provide an educational foundation to better understand the neuroscience behind your symptoms and experiences.

Intensive breathwork sessions

Breathwork can help break the psychological, biochemical, and physical cycles that keep trauma, grief, and anxiety in your body and consequently in your life experience.  There will be four full Integrative Holotropic Breathwork sessions. For more information on breathwork click here.

Supportive somatic practices

Movement is key for supporting a healthy vagal tone which activates the parasympathetic nervous system. Having a higher vagal tone means that your body can recover faster after stressful experiences. Our fascia becomes contracted with stress hormones. Fascia-based functional movement can help move stress hormones from our body and liberate the contracted state of the stress response.

Our body-based practices support improved vagal tone and overall ease and mobility in the body.

Mindful Integration

Through somatic experiencing, guided visualizations, creative expression, and group processing, you will be able to create space and capacity for more positive and empowering states of mind and body that help increase confidence and stability from the inside out.

MEALS AND LODGING

Snacks will be provided throughout the workshop.  Lunch will be provided on Friday and Saturday.  The church is centrally located with several lunch options within walking distance.

TESTIMONIALS
Following is some of the feedback we received from participants
who have attended our retreat...

"I cleared so many things that I needed to release. My life has so much space for the abundance that's pouring into my life. I am grateful I was given the opportunity to engage in this healing and liberating experience."

"Brenda and Jenn created a profoundly safe, nurturing, and powerful environment for deep inner work. Breathwork on its own is a transformational experience, but combining that with nervous system education and trauma-informed somatic movement provided an incredible framework and opportunity for real integration of the work. This is an experience I hope to jump into again in the future, and will carry with me for the rest of my life."

"I attended the retreat one month after experiencing a life-altering traumatic event that plunged me into "freeze" mode, unable to eat, sleep or think much about anything else. The retreat enabled me to regulate my nervous system and regain my life rather than potentially remaining stuck for months or even years. It was one of the most powerful experiences of my life, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to effectively process trauma they've experienced at any time in their lives."

"This retreat was a one-of-a-kind experience held within the safest, most loving, supportive, open community of like-minded women. We were there to learn, love and heal. There was no doubt our new Restoring Resilience Community of Women were holding each other in the loving kindness it takes to courageously dive deeper into ourselves. The location, the food, the training, the yoga and the breathing sessions were exactly what was needed. Thank you Jenn and Brenda for having made this breathtaking experience magnificent."

"The retreat is an amazing balance of nervous system education, yoga, breathwork and processing. The breathwork is very intense in the best way possible and you are fully supported in truly learning about your body as well as have space to experience what is inside your body. It was a life changing experience. Brenda and Jenn are AMAZING and provided such a safe and powerful space for everyone to bond, grow and heal. I cannot recommend this retreat more highly for anyone who has trauma in their past and who feels capped by traditional therapy methods. It was worth every penny and so much more!"

"This retreat was mind-blowingly powerful. Through this super safe and sacred process with these powerful, knowledgable women, I released trauma from my system that I didn't even know I was holding — but judging by my new level of awareness and presence in the days since the retreat, it was definitely holding me back. I feel more alive, connected and tapped in that ever. Thank you for this incredible experience."
